Hi. I’m Hector.

Nice to meet you. Welcome to my digital home!

Based out of Houston, Texas. Space City 🚀

I’m a Graphic Designer and Digital Content Marketer but most importantly, I’m a creative problem solver! I specialize in creating graphics and digital content for brands and people. No matter your story, I can help meet your digital marketing needs while having fun along the way!

With a background in advertising and a love for pop culture, I understand how brands live and die in the modern digital age. I’m also a 1997 baby, the bridge year between Millennials and Gen Z (according to Wikipedia), which proves I have some type of connection between both generations. ✨

I have experience working at agencies and start-ups, where I’ve helped companies develop their brands, share their story, and launch their products. From personal websites to large FBA distribution hubs, I’ve worked on teams to develop creative strategic solutions and messaging that generate results.

When I’m not designing, I’m probably at the movies or getting a workout in. Are you in the Houston area? Join one of my classes! There’s no better way to get creative ideas flowing than a good sweat sesh.

If It’s a recovery day, I’m probably catching up on my endless watchlist queue or binging a competitive reality TV show. If you really want to get to know me, let’s talk SURVIVOR!

Inside Hector’s Head

The 16 Personalities Test is a popular personality assessment based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Carl Jung’s personality theory.

It classifies individuals into 16 distinct personality types, combining four key dimensions: Extraversion vs. Introversion, Sensing vs. Intuition, Thinking vs. Feeling, and Judging vs. Perceiving.

The test provides insights into how people think, behave, and interact with the world, offering personalized profiles that explore strengths, weaknesses, career preferences, and interpersonal dynamics. It’s widely used for self-awareness, personal development, and improving communication and relationships.

My personality type is INTJ-A which heavily influences my creative and strategic thought process.

The 16 Personalities Test, based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), offers several benefits:

1. Self-awareness: It helps individuals understand their strengths, weaknesses, and behavioral patterns.

2. Improved Communication: By identifying personality types, it can enhance how you interact and communicate with others.

3. Career Insights: It provides guidance on suitable career paths and work environments based on personality traits.

4. Relationship Insights: It aids in understanding relationship dynamics by recognizing different personality types.

5. Personal Growth: The test can highlight areas for self-improvement and ways to develop emotional intelligence.

People with the INTJ-A personality types (Architects) are intellectually curious individuals with a deep-seated thirst for knowledge. INTJs tend to value creative ingenuity, straightforward rationality, and self-improvement.

They consistently work toward enhancing intellectual abilities and are often driven by an intense desire to master any and every topic that piques their interest.

All About INTJ-A

Rational Informed Independent Determined Curious Original

Logical and quick-witted, INTJs pride themselves on their ability to think for themselves, not to mention their uncanny knack for seeing right through phoniness and hypocrisy.

Because their minds are never at rest, these personalities may sometimes struggle to find people who can keep up with their nonstop analysis of everything around them.

But when they do find like-minded individuals who appreciate their intensity and depth of thought, INTJs form profound and intellectually stimulating relationships that they deeply treasure.

For these personalities, life is like a giant game of chess. Relying on strategy rather than chance, INTJs contemplate the strengths and weaknesses of each move before they make it.

And they never lose faith that, with enough ingenuity and insight, they can find a way to win – no matter what challenges might arise along the way.

Let’s Go Back In Time…

— I was a fan of the original blue dog in pop culture: Blue, from Blue’s Clues!

A Childhood of Imagination

Remember Home Alone? Well, imagine the craziness of the McAlister family paired with minimal adult supervision and wild kid hijinks, that was my life. I was what some would consider a ‘latchkey kid’, usually at home with my adolescent cousins getting into trouble while the grown-ups were at work.

It was amazing.

The best part was that I had unrestricted access to the world and culture through a large glowing box in my grandmother’s living room: the television!

Before iPad kids existed, our media exposure came from a singular source and it was a magical time. In those days, my love for movies and tv blossomed into a passion for pop culture which has influenced my interests and creative pursuits.

My Elementary School Artwork

Art class was my favorite. Anytime I would pick up a paintbrush or colored pencil, I felt like time would fly by. This was when I first encountered flow and I’ve been chasing that creative mental state ever since.

In My Shark-Tank Era

High school was a transformative time for me. During this period, I learned the power of combining my love for art with an interest in business and how impactful that could be for my future.

Through my involvement in extra-curricular leadership activities, I discovered I could bring my ideas to life and persuade others to believe in them too! This piqued my interest in the intersection between creativity and commerce which eventually led me to pursue a career in advertising.

My High School Artwork

In high school, I continued to grow as a creative and even gained a little recognition along the way. My artwork has been recognized in national publications, state exhibitions, and regional competitions. I’ve learned so much about the creative process and myself, all thanks to the canvas.
